Blood, sweat and tears…

I'm not referring here to the legendary rhythm and blues group... Of course, there are exceptional musicians who have rhythm in their genes, but the truth is, to reach a professional level or even to derive satisfaction from one's own playing, it takes years of study and painstaking work.

By myself or with the help of my teachers (Janusz Mikołajczak, Stanisław Proksa, Skip Hadden, Jacek Pelc, Piotr Biskupski, Czesław "Mały" Bartkowski, Kazimierz Jonkisz), I've gone through practically every stage – from drumming in a garage and simple practices to complex scores that I played in renowned concert halls, and for which I needed to practice for months.

I strive to pass on my knowledge and experience – I help drummers of various ages and at different skill levels acquire new skills or fulfil their dreams (while sparing them a bit of the proverbial "blood, sweat, and tears").

Group Teaching

I have extensive teaching experience. For many years, I taught at the University of Zielona Góra and at the Music Schools Complex in Szczecin, Poland. Many of my students are now accomplished drummers.

In addition to teaching at schools, for many years, I've been enthusiastically lecturing at music workshops.

I've been a long-time instructor at international jazz workshops held in Poland (Puławy, Leszno, Pułtusk) and at "drum clinics" – one-off training classes usually organized alongside festivals and other music events.

I've also conducted drum workshops abroad, for example, in Prague, Czech Republic and in Leichlingen, Germany.

Individual Teaching

Apart from teaching at schools and workshops, I conduct private tutoring.

In my opinion, when it comes to learning or improving drumming skills, this is the most effective way of development.

Every drummer has their own style, and with great passion, I help my students find their "character" and "individuality."

I conduct lessons in Warsaw, Poland – at every skill level and across a wide range of music genres from jazz, funk, fusion, and World Music to classical music.
